Excalibur to Publish Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 in the UK

From Tripwire Interactive/Destineer, Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 is a multiplayer (online or LAN) first-person WWII combat simulation which focuses on realism. The original Red Orchestra won Nvidia's "$1,000,000 Make Something Unreal" contest. Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 is a standalone follow-up, built on Epic's Unreal Engine TM 2.5, that introduces new gameplay and features. Red Orchestra, developed by Tripwire Interactive, lets players choose from 28 infantry weapons or crew one of 14 different fully-realised vehicles on the Russian Front between 1941-45. The combination of roles across more than one dozen maps, based on real-world locations and battles, allows Red Orchestra to finally achieve its goal of delivering a full first-person, WWII combat simulation. Learn to Play Chess with Fritz & Chesster

Excalibur Publishing Limited is delighted to announce that it will be publishing two outstanding chess titles from Chessbase/Terzio designed to introduce a young person (aged 8 plus) to the game of chess. The deal, which covers the UK and Scandinavia, is for two Fritz & Chesster titles. In the first, to be published in August, Fritz & Chesster: Learn to Play Chess, you discover the basic rules of the game. In October, Fritz & Chesster: Chess in the Black Castle, will then show you how to progress from being a beginner by introducing you to the strategy and tactics of chess. Both titles use the powerful Fritz Chess engine to instruct and challenge the young player and make learning how to play chess fun!

Space Rangers Launched - June 17th

Excalibur Publishing, has secured the rights to another of Russian publisher 1C's brand new titles. This time the deal which covers the UK and Scandinavia is for Space Rangers, a turn-based Space RPG / 3D real-time action game scheduled for June 2005. Space Rangers will be published on a PC-DVD as a two-game product and will include the original Space Rangers title which sold in excess of 100,000 units in Russia and the former USSR.

Excalibur Publishing Acquires Rights for Star Wolves

Excalibur Publishing Limited has secured the rights to publish Russian publisher 1C's new title, Star Wolves, for the UK and Scandinavia. Slated for late February 2005, Star Wolves is a 3-D Space RPG with deep strategy elements. Commenting on the deal, Excalibur Publishing's Managing Director, Robert Stallibrass offered, "I'm tremendously excited about working with 1C who have been responsible for bringing many high quality and extremely successful titles to the UK marketplace. Star Wolves has garnered considerable worldwide coverage since its debut at E3, culminating in recent strong reviews. We hope Star Wolves will be the start of a long and exciting collaboration!"

The Punic Wars - Released

We are proud to announce the release of our first title THE PUNIC WARS - A CLASH OF TWO EMPIRES in the UK and The Netherlands. Some of you strategy junkies might know of the game through the web by its American title NEMESIS OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE. WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?

To bring you up to speed: It's the third century BC. The rivalry between the two great empires of the world - Rome and Carthage has reached its peak.
